Linear gradient between the stops below, in the selected variable's units. Revert to use the default colorbar. The arrows swap a stop's color with its neighbor — stops stay in value order, so the gradient always stays valid.
Mission Time Series
Estimated Storm Center
This working best estimate of the storm's track and current position is based on a combination of NHC best track data, latest NHC public advisories, and vortex data messages (VDMs) across all missions for this storm. The estimated position and track can change as new data comes in.

Loop Markers
When scaled, deeper (lower MSLP) markers draw larger.
Members at or above this pressure keep their track but drop the position marker.
MSLP Colormap
Linear gradient between the stops below. Applies to the Forecast Loop only; other sections keep the site colormap. The arrows swap a stop's color with its neighbor — stops stay in MSLP order, so the gradient always stays valid.

Raw vs. Interpolated Tracks
Raw model tracks (i.e., late arriving): These are the raw model tracks and intensities for each model, presented as is without any additional post-processing. When evaluating raw models, global models will often be too weak with maximum sustained winds, and errors in the initial location of the storm may persist downstream, which interpolated models may help resolve.
Interpolated model tracks (i.e., early arriving): These tracks are obtained by retrieving the previous model cycle, interpolating its forecast intensity and position to the current analyzed location and intensity of the storm, and applying this adjustment across subsequent forecast hours. These data are generated using an in-house method based on NHC procedures.
