Acquiring an Expert-Level Certification

An expert-level Cisco certification is considered the gold standard of the industry.  This certification is considered the one that brings in the best salaries in the IT industry.  There are five Cisco certification tracks on this level:  Routing & Switching (the most popular), which handles a wide array of protocols/concepts; Service Provider – dealing with networks for service providers; Voice – concentrating on voice solutions; Storage Networking; and Security.  Those at this highest level of Cisco certification can expect salaries of perhaps $60,000/year.
