The accident was caused by the silo ladder.

There was an accident on a local farm today. A farmer was climbing the ladder on the side of the silo, when the ladder became detached and he fell to the ground. He was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. From there, he was air-lifted to a trauma center. It is unknown whether the ladder was defective or if it had been tampered with. The investigation is continuing. The farmer's condition was upgraded from serious to stable, following surgery.
