Preparations

If you are planning on charting an mcse exam path to transition from Windows Server 2003 to the new windows Server 2008, know that you won’t have to take many exams to upgrade your certification.  In fact, you can do this by only taking and passing a single exam.  (If going from 2000 to 2003, you will need to pass two exams.)   Job skills are not the focal point of the transition exams – rather, it’s about the new technology more than anything else.  If you decide to register for certification exams, then you will be required to put up somewhere in the neighborhood of $125.  However, if you’re an employer looking to obtain tests for the certification of employees, you can do so at a volume discount.
