There are situations that require the use of a flexible borescope, as rigid borescopes are sometimes just not an option in some cases. When you need to see around bends, a rigid borescope will not be a sufficient means for viewing those areas or objects, as a rigid borescope is not capable of bending the way that a flexible borescope can. If you need to see around obstructions, a flexible borescope is the only way that you can do so. Although the image quality of a flexible borescope is not as high as that of a rigid borescope, sometimes a flexible borescope is your only option.
