Consider Plextor External DVD Burners

Is there anyone out there that knows anything about Plextor external dvd burner? I’ve been shopping around for an external burner for a while and a friend of mine recommended it. She said they run a bit more expensive than most, but the quality is very good and they all work with both DVDs and CDs.
